GEEKY CONTINUUM

4/19/2008 12:31:00 AM Well...what a whirlwind week.
I finally resigned from my job at IKEA Alexandra and so did barnabas. It was my first job and i absolutely had Fuuuun working at IKEA. IKEA is probably the best place for anyone who are just about to step into the working world. Not only are the people nice, the food, the environment, the manager and supervisor are awesome too!! But the only downside for me is that the pay is a little low and the roster schedule is kinda weird which i don't kinda like. Anyway, my job was pretty much slack, i just had to attend to my customer's needs and if it was a slow day i would probably be walking around IKEA moving things from one department to the other.

The whole month was probably the slowest days of my life....cause i had to sort all the different types of screws (probably 200+) IKEA has and not only at one place but TWO.......and dang! those screws are heavy!!

After working at IKEA, i probably gained weight cause i ate one too many hotdogs.....mmmm...im going to miss the hotdog......not because of the taste but because of the staff price we get...hehehe

I really can't find any bad things about my workplace or my job....everything there are just NICE! Even the people who don't know you would know that you're leaving and wishing you good luck and hopefully that you would come again to work there.....so nice rite?

PS: To those who loves to shop at IKEA but don't want to spent alot...i have a tip for u.... FIND THE AS-IS Dept....this is where most items are sold at 50% off cause of slight damaged, display set or returned items..... can u believe that i bought a $129 computer chair for only $20....woooho....AS-IS price + Staff price....

The plan right now is to get in shape for NS....and im training Barnabas as much as i could....so it meant lots of running, cycling and going up stairs....cause he needs to lose a few KG and build up his stamina. He has only 2 months therefore i need to whipped him in shape just in time for NS.
