GEEK!
Sunday, March 16, 2008 geek: interesting meet
Overall i would say that hes a very intelligent person and quite eloquent during the whole conversation. With hints of jokes but still maintains the seriousness when in need of it. After the dinner and the LONG conversation (3 hours to be exact), i soon realize that i have so many question about stuff and he has all the answers to it but none he could use to apply for his situation. Hes struggles is an on going battle... whereas mine is just minor. I've gained good insight in someone who is different because of his belief and choices in life, going against the norm and how his family is living in denial and him having to deal with this every single day. Just one word..."Amazing" I shared his story with my parents, my dad was quite resentful with the whole idea and my whole liberal living and letting people be with what they are happy with. My mom on the other hand sympathize with his family but i told her its not the 1960s, people are much knowledgeable they choose what they believe and not just because it was hand over to them. I'm glad my mom agreed with my statement but my dad still holds with his firm point of view and thank god im strong enough to back out from bickering with my dad and just let him sleep with his opinion... hopefully he will see where im coming from. Im hopeful to meet him in the future to gain more insight, life lesson and a start of a new friendship. Made to fit by: geek! Self-proclaimed geek. Gadget enthusiast. And NO!
